This is Comic Book Club News for June 12, 2026.

Mike Richardson To Open Museum:

Earlier this year, Mike Richardson was abruptly removed from his post at the head of Dark Horse, a company he created several decades ago. So what’s next for Richardson? A museum.

Per The Oregonian, Richardson is opening a pop culture museum in downtown Milwaukie in the 14,000 square foot space previously owned by Things From Another World — the retail chain Dark Horse owned which will shutting down by the end of the year.

And on display are items from the long history of Dark Horse, including, per ICv2, full-sized models from Alien and Predator, and Pamela Anderson’s costume from Barb Wire. While there will be film and TV memorabilia, Richardson is emphatic that it will be built around comics — though he does have a big sports collection as well.

While there’s no opening date for the museum yet, Richardson also plans to have guest speakers and workshops in the space, as well. More on this as it develops.

Rolling Stones Team Up With Marvel For New Album:

In the surprise collabo of the year, the Rolling Stones are teaming up with Marvel for their new album.

Per 13th Dimension, the 25th studio album from the iconic band will feature five different Marvel editions featuring art on the cover of Spider-Man, Captain America, Wolverine, The Hulk, and Thor. They’ll also come packaged with an exclusive What If…? comic books featuring each of the characters previously mentioned.

What does one have to do with the other? Who is to say, though each cover of the album, Foreign Tongues, features the Rolling Stone tongue logo being made by Spider-Man’s webs, for example, or coming from Thor’s lightning.

The limited edition vinyls are $69.98 each, and will begin shipping on July 10, 2026.

AHOY Comics Adopts 100% Human Made Logo:

Back in April, Matt Kindt unveiled a new logo for his Flux House line of books to proudly and loudly declare there is no AI anywhere near them: 100% Human Made. And now, AHOY Comics is adopting the open source logo for their own books.

Per The Beat, the logo will debut on The Forgotten Divine from Mark Russell and Russ Braun, which just hit Kickstarter. Said AHOY Editor-in-Chief Tom Peyer, “AI is rightly loathed throughout the world of legitimate comics, and we want to make it clear to our readers that AHOY is 100% powered by the very human blood, sweat and tears of our uber-talented creators.”

AHOY will be using the logo on all projects going forward.
