David Bowie famously sang, “it’s only forever, not long at all.” And he was 100% definitely singing about the mysterious teaser Oni Press sent over this morning, with the subject line “Forever Begins September 2026.” But what is “Forever”?
Here’s what the teaser says: “In this house, we believe science is real, it saved us from the apocalypse, time has crawled to a standstill, our robot companions will protect us, whats outside won’t get in, they won’t get in, they won’t get in, they won’t get in, they won’t get in.”
…So the implication there is some sort of story set in a bunker after the apocalypse, something is outside that bunker, and it is trying to get inside said bunker. Cool!
Probably not of note, Oni Press ended their Rick & Morty line with the one-shot Rick & Morty Forever, while tagline for Oni Press’s website is “comic books forever.” So perhaps this isn’t a comic book titled Forever so much as a threat that they’re going to be locking everyone who works at the publisher in a bunker this September.
Either way, we know that Bowie is up there, smiling. Anyway, here’s the teaser and expect more info soon:
