DC Comics to release Mark Waid JLA omnibus.

Hannah Rose May heads to Fatal Fest.

This is Comic Book Club News for June 3, 2026.

DC To Release Mark Waid JLA Omnibus:

One of the most storied runs in the history of DC’s JLA will get collected by the publisher in a massive, 1,320 page hardcover titled JLA by Mark Waid Omnibus.

Per ICv2, the book will include — funnily enough — “only” 19 issues of JLA, alongside runs on The Brave and the Bold, JLA Secret Files, JLA: Year One and more. Also pushing against the title, the collection additionally includes writers Brian Augustyn and Bryan Hitch, with art by Hitch, Barry Kitson, and Mike Miller.

Storylines include the iconic “Tower of Babel” arc that found Batman’s secret files on how to take down the League getting stolen by Ra’s al Ghul, and a battle with the Queen of Fables.

The omnibus will set you back $175 and hit stores on October 6, 2026.

Hannah Rose May Heads To Fatal Fest For IDW:

Hannah Rose May has been on a tear with IDW horror books, including the hit The Exorcism at 1600 Penn, its UK set sequel, and Smile: For The Camera. So what’s next? Fatal Fest, a horror comic set at a horrifying film festival.

Featuring art by Andrea Scalmazzi, Fatal Fest focuses on six filmmakers competing at the titular festival, which is run by “reclusive horror maestro Frank Finch and his legendary production empire, Fatal Films.” But — and you might see where this is going — in order to win the top prize, they must experience fear themselves and kill for it.

Fatal Fest #1 will debut in stores on a date TBA.

#DCBlackout Campaign Suspended:

Mere days after the Black Comics Alliance began a proposed boycott of DC Comics for a lack of ongoing, Black led comic book titles, the #DCBlackout campaign has been suspended.

Per The Beat, the decision came after significant blowback against the campaign — not for the overall idea, but for the specifics of a campaign that drew fire for, among other things, ignoring several titles past and upcoming, and potentially hurting freelancers more than the company itself.

While the proposed boycott has ended, the DCSoWhite hashtag will continue in order to amplify the concerns of the community, with attention turning to a Change.org petition which was launched last week and, of this recording, has gained over 3,000 signatures.
