Missed any of DC Comics‘ recent crossovers with Marvel? Good news, they’re getting collected later this year in a 224-page collection titled DC/Marvel: The Cosmic Kiss Caper & Other Stories.
We previously reported on this on our Comic Book Club News podcast, but DC has now officially announced the collection (and spoiler, Marvel will also be publishing a collection of their side of the crossover books). It’ll include the headlining Batman/Deadpool story by Grant Morrison and Dan Mora (which is where the collection gets its name from), and the main Superman/Spider-Man story by Mark Waid and Jorge Jiménez.
The book, which will come in both hardcover and paperback formats, will also include all the backup stories in both over-sized issues. That means, per PR from the publisher, you’ll get “short tales pairing iconic DC and Marvel characters in unexpected pairings — from Lois Lane and Mary Jane Watson to Power Girl and Punisher, Nightwing and Wolverine, Jimmy Olsen and Carnage, Superboy and Spider-Man 2099, and more. These stories come from some of the most celebrated creators in comics, including Tom King, Jim Lee, Gail Simone, Belén Ortega, Tom Taylor, Bruno Redondo, Matt Fraction, Steve Lieber, Sean Murphy, Christopher Priest, Daniel Sampere, Greg Rucka, Nicola Scott, Jeff Lemire, Rafa Sandoval, and others.”
Whew! That’s a lot. But wait, there’s more! The Cosmic Kiss Caper trade will also include the vertical scroll digital comics DC/Marvel: The Flash/Fantastic Four by Jeremy Adams and Adrián Gutiérrez and DC/Marvel: Supergirl/Blade by CRC Payne, Mikel Janín and Hugo Petrus, which previously were only available on the DC Infinite digital service.
DC/Marvel: The Cosmic Kiss Caper & Other Stories will hit stores on September 8, 2026.
