10 Most Anticipated Image Comics For June 2026

Universal Monsters: Blood of the Wolf Man #1 cover crop

June for Image Comics is an interesting mix, as usual. On the one hand you’ve got some big properties like Spawn reinventing itself with new creative teams, and Skybound’s Energon Universe continuing its — fun phrase alert — dominant market share.

But then there’s plenty of creative books that aren’t IP based making a name for themselves, and even a return of some artists that haven’t done sequentials in a while. So with that in mind, let’s get into our 10 most anticipated Image Comics for June of 2026, presented in chronological release order!

1. Spawn #376

Spawn #376 cover

Release Date: June 3, 2026

A bold new era for Spawn may send folks sighing and rolling their eyes, but this team — Matthew Rosenberg and Stephen Segovia — is no joke. And while I won’t spoil it, having heard the plans this sounds pretty bonkers. The fallout continues in a new run on King Spawn, also by Rosenberg, later this month.

2. Radiant Black #42

Radiant Black #42 cover

Release Date: June 3, 2026

The folks behind the always solid Radiant Black have been teasing a shocker ending that changes everything. And while that’s usually lip service with comics, the Massive-verse often pays off on that promise. So: uhoh.

3. M.A.S.K. #1

M.A.S.K. #1 Cover

Release Date: June 10, 2026

The Energon Universe expands with a reinvention of the classic cartoon from Dan Watters and Simon Parr, featuring folks who wear masks that have cool powers and drive cars who have cool powers. Think what if G.I. Joe drove Transformers, and you’re in the right neighborhood.

4. M1: Monster Racing League #1

M1: Monster Racing League #1 cover

Release Date: June 10, 2026

The headline here beyond it being a book sold as KPOP Demon Hunters meets Fast and the Furious is Jae Lee is providing interior art for an ongoing series for the first time in years.

5. Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #10

Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #10 cover

Release Date: June 17, 2026

Battle Beast finally takes on Conquest, and in typical Robert Kirkman fashion it seems to be in an eating contest. Never change, Kirkman! Seriously, never change.

6. Odin #2

Odin #2 cover

Release Date: June 17, 2026

The new series from James Tynion IV, Marguerite Bennett and Letizia Cadonici had a crazy intense debut following a journalist investigating neo-Nazis who ends up lost with them in the woods. Expect things to go further downhill from the first issue, if that’s possible.

7. If Destruction Be Our Lot #2

If Destruction Be Our Lot #2 cover

Release Date: June 17, 2026

Another follow up to another great debut issue, this title from Matthew Rosenberg, his brother Mark Elijah Rosenberg, and artist Andy MacDonald about a robot Abe Lincoln looking for purpose in a robot-ruled future was smart, funny, and eminently creative. Expect issue two to be no different.

8. The Trillion Dollar Kid #1

The Trillion Dollar Kid #1 cover

Release Date: June 17, 2026

Following up on solid zero issues, we finally meet this rich kid of the title who is searching for “the Unbelievables,” strange beings in Ghost Machine’s more earnest adventure universe of the same name. Geoff Johns and Peter J. Tomasi write, and Stefano Simeone draws.

9. Void Rivals #31

Void Rivals #31 cover

Release Date: June 24, 2026

After a pretty confusing few issues depicting the Quintesson War, we get what is (no joke) my most anticipated issue of the month as Skuxxoid takes on Skuxxoid and finds out what happened to his wife and kids. Did I previously request Robert Kirkman never change? If not, let me just mention that here.

10. Universal Monsters: Blood of the Wold Man #1

Universal Monsters: Blood of the Wolf Man #1 cover

Release Date: June 24, 2026

The latest Universal Monsters title from Skybound comes from Joshua Williamson and Leomacs, and Williamson tells us that the series gets so dark you might need a shower afterwards. Yikes!
