Spider-Noir is one of the most famous alternate Spider-Mans, and now he’s got his own show. So there’s no better time to read the original Spider-Man Noir story and catch up on all of his comic appearances. His world is carefully constructed, giving a new spin to the hero’s motto, his villains, and many other elements. It’s a must-read for any Spider-Verse fan.
We’ll divide this reading into two sections. Right below, you’ll see the character’s most important appearances divided by trade paperbacks, making it easier for you to read and find them. And below that, we also have a full, issue-by-issue guide that includes some of his smallest appearances and cameos.
Spider-Man Noir TP

Here we see a very different New York, and a very different Spider-Man. From the first chapter, it’s already obvious that this is one of the best reinventions of the character. The story begins with JJJ’s assassination, then rewinds to show how Peter and the other characters became involved in the murder.
Spider-Man Noir: Eyes Without a Face TP

A direct sequel to the character’s first series, Eyes Without a Face is another banger. There’s a new overlord in town, the Crime Master, and he’s on a different level than anything Peter has faced until now. It also introduces a despicable version of Doc Ock, really increasing Spider-Man Noir’s villain roster.
Edge of Spider-Verse #1

Artist: Richard Isanove
This issue reintroduces Spider-Man Noir and puts him up against his world’s version of Mysetrio. It’s also a good start for people who don’t know him, nor his dimension. At the end, we also get a bit of the first Spider-Verse event plot.
Spider-Verse TP

This paperback contains the entire Spider-Verse event. In case you’re unfamiliar, Morlun and his family, the Inheritors, are hunting every Spidey throughout the multiverse to get stronger. Noir joins Superior Spider-Man’s faction in the battle, a more ruthless group willing to kill the Inheritors.
Spider-Verse: Warzones! TP

Following the first Spider-Verse‘s success, Marvel brings the concept to Secret Wars. A team of spider-people finds itself in a new place, having to face Mayor Norman Osborn. Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Gwen, and Spider-Ham are some of the protagonists, meaning it might appeal to Spider-Verse movie fans.
Web Warriors of the Spider-Verse Vol. 1: Electroverse TP

Artist: David Baldeón, Denis Medri
The same team from Spider-Verse: Warzones! bands together to protect worlds without any Spider-people. However, they aren’t the only ones with that kind of idea. Meet the Electroverse, as Electro and alternate-reality villains try to turn the multiverse into their playground.
Web Warriors of the Spider-Verse Vol. 2: Spider Vs. TP

After their battle against Electro, the Web Warriors must repair reality itself. The new volume is just as fun and good at fleshing out the different Spider-people as the first. But this time, they have new, interesting teammates, such as Spider-Punk!
Spider-Geddon #1

Spider-Geddon is the sequel to Spider-Verse, bringing the Inheritors back to fight our favorite spider-people. Noir only appears in the first chapter, however.
Spider-Verse: Spider-Zero TP
Writer: Jed MacKay, Christos Gage, Ryan North, Taran Killam
Artist: Dike Ruan, Sheldon Vella, Stacey Lee
Spider-Man Noir is back in issues #5 and #6, and this series introduces some new elements for his next mini. Each chapter of this Spider-Verse storyline sees Miles visiting different dimensions, so they’re basically stand-alone.
Spider-Man Noir: Twilight in Babylon TP

Finally back home, Spider-Man Noir gets involved with a murder mystery that takes him overseas. Thanks to that, Peter meets a whole new set of characters and visits new places… Locations that, thanks to the perfect noir art, are more stylish than ever.
Spider-Man Vol. 1: End of the Spider-Verse TP

Morlun is back with a new plan, making it obvious that the spider-people never have a day to rest. But this time, he’s an ally, trying to prevent the end of the Spider-Verse. So who’s the villain, you ask? None other than Spider-Man Noir and a few other web warriors.
Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse TP

Artist: Chris Eliopoulos, Luciano Vecchio, Jim Towe
Taking its concept to another exaggerated level, it’s a fight between all the Spideys and Venoms you can get. Although he doesn’t stand out much, the confrontation wouldn’t be the same without Spider-Man Noir.
Spider-Man Noir: The Gwen Stacy Affair TP

Artist: Andrea Broccardo
Now working as a detective, Peter has to solve the murder of Gwen Stacy’s father, finally introducing the iconic character to this world. After so many crises and multiversal affairs, it’s impressive and refreshing how down-to-earth this series is. Unfortunately, it’s our last stop, but it’s a very fun one.
