The Hood Comes To Marvel Rivals — And A New Origin One-Shot Comic

ORIGINS OF THE HOOD: MARVEL RIVALS #1 cover crop

When I recently talked to the proprietors of Final Boss Comics in New Jersey, they noted that the things bringing people into stores, beyond Invincible and DC’s Absolute Universe, was the hit game Marvel Rivals. So it makes sense to see yet another one-shot set in the world: Origins of the Hood: Marvel Rivals #1, setting up Parker Robbins’ appearance in the game.

Written by Paul Allor with art by Francesco Archidiacono, per the title it’ll jump to the beginnings of the demonic hood wearer, and show how he became who he is today. This, by the way, originally ran in the Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic, and is now yours to take home.

Here’s the official synopsis:

PARKER ROBBINS’ PATH TO POWER!

After watching his family and his dreams fall apart, Parker Robbins decides to take matters into his own hands by attacking Kingpin’s empire head-on – only to land in prison with the childhood hero who once inspired him to keep going. As Parker confronts his hero, he realizes what he needs most…and that he’ll do whatever it takes to get it. Discover the origin of Marvel Rivals’ the Hood here!

Origins of the Hood: Marvel Rivals #1 hits stores on August 5, with covers by Paco Diaz, Federico Sabbatini, and Luciano Vecchio.
