Marvel Bounces Back On April 2026 Sales Charts:
After several months of getting crushed by DC Comics, Marvel bounced back on the April 2026 single issue sales charts. However, there might be a good reason for that: ICv2, whose data we’ve been reporting off of, has doubled the number of stores it’s using in its Top 50 sales chart.
Not to delay getting to the good stuff, but in addition to ComicHub, which reports customer sales for 125 stores, they’ve added in 100 stores that use the Comics Assistant software. Which is still only 225 stores, meaning a small snapshot of the industry as a whole. But hey, it’s better than nothing!
Okay, back to the charts. Overall, Marvel took 23 spots on the Top 50. And while they’ve been struggling to get any foothold in the Top 10, this month they sort of came in at number one… With their side of the Spider-Man/Superman crossover with DC Comics. That said, two issues of the Amazing Spider-Man crossover Death Spiral came in at number five and seven — curiously, Venom, which was the other half of the crossover, only ranked one issue at number 27. Meanwhile, Daredevil #1 hit at number six, and Web of Venom, which was not part of the crossover, hit at number eight.
That left the rest of the Top 10 for DC Comics, which nabbed 19 slots total. Absolute Batman #19, naturally, came in at number two, while DC’s Superman/Spider-Man ranked number three, after coming out the previous month. Absolute Wonder Woman #19 hit at number four, and Zatanna #1 at number nine.
Image Comics snagged five slots on the Top 50, with Transformers #31 coming in at number 10, and Invincible Universe Battle Beast #8 at number 11. And IDW took the other remaining slot for the latest issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Absolute Green Arrow Sells Out:
Speaking of comic book sales, DC has announced that Absolute Green Arrow #1 has sold out, mere days before its release in comic book stores. That — to be clear — is at the distributor level, meaning it should likely be available this Wednesday on the shelves themselves. But, you know, get there early just in case.
That said, DC will go ahead and release a second printing of the issue, featuring the main cover with a recolored logo, and new covers by Ivan Tao and Tula Lotay.
The reprint of Absolute Green Arrow #1 will hit stores on June 17, 2026, the same day as Absolute Green Arrow #2.
Marvel Announces Star Wars: The Fall Of Kylo Ren:
Charles Soule and Will Sliney are back on that Ben Solo beat with Star Wars: The Fall Of Kylo Ren, which confusingly for everyone and not just me will debut in late Summer from Marvel Comics.
Picking up after the events of the Legacy of Vader miniseries, The Fall of Kylo Ren will detail the title character’s return to the First Order, and lead directly into the events of beloved trilogy-capper The Rise of Skywalker.
Calling it “A pivotal turning point for Kylo, Hux and Pryde and essential reading for every Star Wars fan,” Star Wars: the Fall of Kylo Ren #1 hits stores on August 12, which again, is late summer and not… Oh, “Fall,” I get it now.
