Big news for fans of Ben Tennyson: the second issue of the new Ben 10 comic book series from Dynamite has sold more issues than the first issue… While thanks to a second printing, Ben 10 #1 has sold more than 112,000 copies to comic book stores.
To be 100% clear up front, this is comics sold at the distributor level, meaning ordered by comic book stores; not necessarily purchased by customers at said comic book stores. However, given the challenges of selling a new comic book and natural attrition of sales, it does point to interest in the book (something we can anecdotally back up here at Comic Book Club, as every article we write about the comic does gangbusters).
To break the numbers down even further, thanks to Dynamite, Ben 10 #1 sold 112,000 copies including the second printing that breaks down to “82,000 units with the open order covers, retailer covers and Mystery Blind Bags orders.” More specifically, that breaks down to “16,000 plus retailer exclusives and limited high end covers, 13,000 copies of Mystery Blind Bags and then 53,000 copies of the open order covers and the incentives.” Then with reorders and the second printing covers, it went up to 112,000 copies, which means that including reorders and the second printing covers, another 30,000 copies were sold… A number that would be great for any comic on its own.
So what about Ben 10 #2? Likely due to the demand and under-ordering on issue one, retailers have purchased 83,000 copies including “open order sales, incentives and Mystery Blind Bags and without any retailer exclusives.” Will that number go up as well? Maybe!
Ben 10 #2 hits stores on June 3, 2026. You can check out covers below:
