Feeling that Free Comic Book Day hangover? Don’t worry, we’ve got the cure: more new comics! That’s right, there are new comics this week for May 6, 2026, and we’ve got some highlights, followed by the full rundown of single issues coming to stores.
DC Comics kicks off a sequel mashup with DC x Sonic the Hedgehog: Metal Legion #1, continuing the surprisingly fun tale of the best-selling series. Batman #9 tees up the events of the upcoming Barbara Gordon: Breakout series. And Absolute Superman #19 pits Supes against Shazam and Steel.
Marvel goes back to the world of Civil War with Unmasked, a series focusing on smaller character moments from the original. Jubilee: Deadly Reunion #1 celebrates AAPI Heritage Month by focusing on the fan fave X-Men character. And you can also celebrate a decade of Rogue One with a Cassian Andor one-shot.
Ben 10 #1 from Dynamite reboots the classic cartoon from the original creative team. BOOM! Studios kicks off the event series Fall of the House of Slaughter, which will change the Something is Killing the Children universe in big ways. And do not miss Image’s If Destruction Be Our Lot #1, which sends a robot Abraham Lincoln on a journey of self-discovery.
