‘My Adventures With Superman’ Announces Season 3 Premiere Date… And Teases The Next Villain

The entirely excellent animated series My Adventures With Superman is finally (almost) back, as DC Studios has announced the premiere date for the new season: June 13 on Adult Swim, and “next day” on HBO Max.

“Not every Superman protects tomorrow,” reads a post by DC on BlueSky. “My Adventures with Superman S3 – Coming June 13th | Next Day HBO Max”

So, since this is a little confusing, what they mean is that new episodes debut Saturdays at Midnight ET/PT as part of the Toonami block on Adult Swim, then the next day (meaning Sunday) on HBO Max. So, functionally the same day, but whatever.

“This is the kind of show action‑animation fans tune into Toonami for,” said Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim via a press release. “Season three of My Adventures with Superman goes harder, looks bigger, and packs the emotional punch that makes this series such a standout.” 

The show once again stars Jack Quaid as the voice of Superman, as well as — potentially — Cyborg Superman, given the ominous poster for the season. Alice Lee is Lois Lane, Ishmel Sahid is Jimmy Olsen, and Kiana Madeira returns as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl.

It’s been a while since the show was on the air, with Season 1 dropping in 2023 and Season 2 in 2024 –though both were animated/voiced simultaneously, while is seems they waited to pick up Season 3 until Season 2 aired, hence the delay.

Here’s the official Season 3 synopsis:

Clark has truly become Superman and made peace with his Kryptonian origins – he’s ready to settle down! But Lois, who has finally become the Planet’s star reporter, is NOT. Jimmy has evolved from freelance photographer to celebrity journalist—but he’s still intimidated by the romantic attentions of the newly arrived Kara Zor‑El, who’s trying to find her place on Earth. 

In our latest action, comedy, and romance-packed season, this found family will have to confront powerful new enemies that challenge Superman, threaten their future, and test the bonds holding them together. Can our heroes save their tomorrow–before it destroys today?
