Matt Kindt is back in action (though he never really left) with Oni Press‘s Mind MGMT: New & Improved, a sequel to his lauded series that somehow still manages to be new reader friendly. And to continue to tease the arrival of the book, Oni has released a trailer, if you don’t mind.
Including panels from the first issue and quotes from critics, the one plus minute look deftly explains what I said in the first paragraph: the new series is a direct continuation from the previous series; but you don’t need to know anything other than Mind MGMT used to be a place for — short version — psychic spies. Something bad happened. And now two cops with weird abilities of their own are trying to figure out who is killing old Mind MGMT agents before its too late.
Want to know more? Better let your comic book shop know ASAP as not-so-coincidentally, the FOC (Final Order Cutoff) for the book is Monday, April 27. For a further tease, you can check out our extended podcast chat with Kindt about the book (among other things). And you can continue to be teased on May 2, aka Free Comic Book Day/Comics Giveaway Day, when Oni will release a double hit of Kindt featuring Mind MGMT as well as the upcoming Fort Psycho.
Also the book comes out on June 24, but that’s less of a tease than “a thing that is happening.”
