Anticipation is high for Dynamite’s upcoming comic book revamp of Ben 10, from the original creators of the animated series. And per the publisher, the first issue of the comic book has sold more than 82,000 copies to comic book stores.
Interestingly, the initial orders for the book were relatively low: 6,000 units, which frankly, does not quite match the anticipation I’ve been seeing from fans online (perhaps they’re waiting for digital versions). While usually those numbers are about 25% to 30% of the Final Order Cutoff (FOC) numbers, instead of hitting somewhere between 18,600 and 24,000 copies, that grew exponentially.
Breaking it down further, 13,000 of the 82,000 comics ordered by shops are Mystery Blind Bags, while a little over 16,000 were retailer exclusive and limited-edition high-end covers. That leaves about 53,000 copies that have been ordered by stores beyond that, which is still pretty strong in the current comic book climate.
The first arc will be written by Joe Casey, with the rest of the Man of Action team joining on subsequent arcs (you can listen to Joe Kelly chat about the book on our recent podcast interview). Ben 10 #1 hits stores on May 6, 2026. Check out some of the covers and solicit info, below.
