Dynamite’s Fire and Ice is a best-seller, per the publisher, and now they’re spinning off a solo series focusing on the mysterious Darkwolf. Appropriately titled Fire and Ice: Darkwolf, the new book comes from writer Dan Panosian and artist Andrey Lunatik.
“Darkwolf is pure Frank Frazetta in its most raw and unfiltered form,” said Panosian via press release. “Wild, savage and let loose upon a world as terrifying as he is!”
Darkwolf, as Panosian mentions, was created by Frank Frazetta and Ralph Bakshi, and is, per release, “muscled warrior hides his true identity behind an iconic mask. Eventually in the thick of the film’s plot he crosses paths with Larn and Teegra, and fells Nekron by his own hands.”
The new series will catch up with Darkwolf before the movie, as a mother and her twins flee the warlock who is their father — with Darkwolf jumping in to save them.
