Brian K. Vaughan and Marcos Martín’s timely sci-fi immigration comic Barrier will be collected by Image Comics in one trade collection, hitting stores next month.
In the Harvey Award winning story which was first posted digitally on Panel Syndicate, and then in single issues in 2018, per a press release, “When the lives of Texas rancher Liddy and Honduran immigrant Óscar collide at the U.S.-Mexico border, neither can understand the other’s words, but both are forced to rely on trust when they’re thrust into an unimaginable encounter.”
The book is told in both English and Spanish, and will be presented in the original “widescreen” format it appeared in online. Barrier joins The Private Eye (also published in a similar format), as well as the recent collection of Spectators by Vaughan and Niko Henrichon which was also syndicated on Panel Syndicate.
Barrier hits comic book stores on May 20, and book shops on June 16. Check out a preview featuring more horse death than you likely expected to see this morning, below.
