Rick Remender’s ‘Fear Agent’ To Be Collected In One, Massive Compendium From Image Comics

Fear Agent was the book that put writer Rick Remender on the map. Alongside artists like Tony Moore and Jerome Opeña, the series is getting collected into one, massive Compendium from Image Comics.

Including all 32 issues of the series and a new cover design, the Fear Agent Compendium celebrates the 20th anniversary of the series, which is a stark reminder (a Remender Reminder if you will) about the passage of time.

Here’s the synopsis of the book per Image: “When down-and-out alien exterminator Heath Huston stumbles upon a plot to wipe out humanity, he must put down the bottle and pick up the fight: as the last surviving Fear Agent. This pulp sci-fi classic is a galaxy-spanning, whiskey-soaked epic exploration of redemption, revenge, and alien annihilation.”

That, by the way, maybe describes the first issue or two of the book, which spins out into wild, unpredictable directions almost immediately. Remender would go on to codify this more over the course of his many, many books, but Fear Agent really set the tone for his brand of constant rug pulls for our hero.

Fear Agent Compendium hits comic book shops on May 20, and bookstores on June 16.
