This May, creator Matt Kindt is debuting his imprint Flux House at Oni Press with a Free Comic Book Day Special, before the line itself officially launches in June. But even more exciting (don’t get me wrong, I’m pretty psyched for the new Flux House titles) is that Comic Book Club can exclusively reveal Kindt is launching a new, open-source certification: “100% Human-Made,” which is available to all creators loudly and proudly declare humans made this in the age of AI.
(Yes, I realize there’s a weird irony in exclusively revealing something open-source. Let’s move on.)
The 100% Human-Made emblem is designed by Kindt, who is a human (just FYI), and is, per PR, “a new, open-source certification for comics, graphic novels, and other visual, musical and audio forms of creative work to designate them as fully derived of the human imagination and otherwise free of elements designed or enhanced by generative artificial intelligence.”
While the emblem will officially launch on Oni Press’ Mind MGMT: New & Improved #1 on June 24, 2026, the certification is available to anyone to use, with attribution. Again per PR, so I can get the legalese right:
The “100% HUMAN-MADE” certification is created under the Creative Commons “Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International” license. Under those terms, artists seeking to utilize the “100% HUMAN-MADE” certification can “distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format” for commercial and not-for-profit purposes, as long as it carries the following Creative Commons attribution:
100% HUMAN-MADE © 2026 by Matt Kindt, LLC is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0
If you want to scoop Kindt, you don’t have to wait until June to start using the emblem; a high-res .eps file is available for download online right now, and at OniPress.com.
…and if you’re curious to check out what’s up with Matt Kindt’s Flux House, we’ve got some info on that, as well. Check out a taste of the 100% human-made pages from Mind MGMT: New & Improved #1 below, as well as solicit info, PR text (via press release), and covers for everything coming from Flux House. No generative AI allowed.

The June 24th debut of MIND MGMT: NEW & IMPROVED #1 will mark the first series to be released under Kindt’s acclaimed FLUX HOUSE banner at Oni Press, as well as the creator’s long-awaited return to the world of MIND MGMT since the original series’ conclusion in 2015. Beginning with an all-new, entirely self-contained entry point into the genre-bending, Eisner Award–nominated series that Entertainment Weekly calls “one of the most experimental and fascinating books in mainstream comics,” MIND MGMT: NEW & IMPROVED #1 will feature a specialty die-cut cover and 32 pages of content written, drawn, colored, lettered, and designed by Kindt himself – alongside a specially manufactured “blind bag” containing one of 15 exclusive, chase, or rare variant covers spanning four distinct subsets from some of Kindt’s closest and most acclaimed collaborators, including Jenna Cha (The Sickness), Jeff Lemire (Sweet Tooth, Black Hammer), Jesse Lonergan (Drome, Man’s Best), Fábio Moon (Archie, Daytripper), David Rubín (Black Hammer, EC’s Cruel Universe), Scott Suguichi (Estrus: Shovelin’ the @#$% Since ’97), and J.H. Williams III (Promethea, Batwoman).
Ten years ago, the extra-governmental agency known as Mind Management exploded in a barrage of bullets and brain matter. Those that survived have gone underground—forging new lives with unremarkable identities and falsified pasts to obfuscate the strange abilities that once made them highly prized assets in the global war for psychic control. Now, two investigators—Detective Delphi and Detective Swon—have found themselves at the center of an unexpected puzzle. Here: A man poisoned in a coffee shop with a sophisticated neurotoxin. There: A supposed suicide victim run over by a train . . . with his arms found in a trash can five miles from the tracks. Their connection: Someone is killing former Mind Management agents in improbable and arcane ways . . . Seemingly impossible crimes committed by a faceless killer capable of evading even the most pervasive digital surveillance. What secret are they killing to protect? Who will be next? Has Mind Management returned? Did it ever go away? You are paranoid . . . but are you paranoid enough?
