11 Most Anticipated Marvel Comics For April 2026

Uncanny X-Men #26 crop

Marvel is in a fascinating spot right now… While its titles are still selling like gangbusters (as far as know from scant sales data), they seem to be in second position to DC Comics. So will April, 2026 change all that for the House of Ideas? Will April showers (of money) bring May flowers (i.e., critical praise)?

To find out, we’re taking a look through our list of most anticipated comic books for the month, including plenty of new number one issues, the continued, extended ending of the Ultimate Universe and much more. So let’s get into our 11 most anticipated comic books from Marvel in April 2026, presented in chronological release order.

1. Daredevil #1

Daredevil #1 cover

Release Date: April 1, 2026

Stephanie Phillips and Lee Garbett take on the Man Without Fear with a new, big number one issue that pivots Matt Murdock to law professor. New villains, new situations… This might be just the refresh Daredevil has needed.

2. Wonder Man #1

Wonder Man #1 cover

Release Date: April 1, 2026

While slightly missing the boat for the live-action series, Gerry Duggan and Mark Buckingham is a fun team for a Hollywood satire. Will he pal around with The Mandarin? Probably not, but we’ll see.

3. Eternals 50th Anniversary Special #1

Eternals 50th anniversary special #1 cover

Release Date: April 1, 2026

There are some pretty great writer and artist teams in this anthology paying tribute to Jack Kirby’s creations, and it’ll be interesting to see what Marvel does with the characters after their MCU ambitions hit a bit of a wall.

4. Uncanny X-Men #26

UNCANNY X-MEN #26

Release Date: April 8, 2026

Gail Simone’s run on Uncanny X-Men has been unabashedly inspired by Chris Claremont books, and the tease that there’s a secret behind the creation of the team in this issue is giving me Excalibur #50 vibes. Will it be as wild as that classic? We’ll have to wait and see.

5. Web Of Venom #1

Web of Venom #1 cover

Release Date: April 8, 2026

Another new symbiote? Was there a discount on buying bulk at the symbiote store or something? Anyway, this comes from original good guy Jordan Morris, so despite being a second Venom dressed like a Spider-Man, the comic should be fun and weird.

6. Ultimate Wolverine #16

ULTIMATE WOLVERINE #16

Release Date: April 15, 2026

The final issue of the series pits Wolverine and Phoenix against Magik, and leads into Ultimate Endgame #5 (which now comes out in June, though it was planned for April). Ultimate Wolverine has been solid throughout, though, so we’d expect no less for the final issue.

7. The Amazing Spider-Man #27

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #27 (LGY #992) – DEATH SPIRAL CONCLUSION!

Release Date: April 22, 2026

While there are multiple issues out this month, this one ends the so far pretty excellent Death Spiral crossover. With Carnage taking over Spider-Man in the finale, should be interesting to see how this all wraps up.

8. Marvel / DC: Spider-Man / Superman #1

MARVEL/DC: SPIDER-MAN/SUPERMAN #1 cover

Release Date: April 22, 2026

The second one-shot from Marvel and DC, this issue features Brad Meltzer and Pepe Larraz on the main story, with back-ups by a slew of other creators, including Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli reuniting on a Miles Morales story.

9. The Amazing Spider-Man: Spider-Versity #1

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: SPIDER-VERSITY #1 (OF 5) cover

Release Date: April 22, 2026

The concept here is that Norman Osborn knows he’s going to become the Green Goblin again eventually, and the younger Spider-heroes aren’t ready. So he trains them to take him down.

10. The Ultimates #23

The Ultimates #23 cover

Release Date: April 29, 2026

The penultimate issue of this title turns the focus to Thor and Asgard. Another incredibly solid book in this line, each of the preceding issues have been pretty great, so this one should be, too.

11. Planet She-Hulk #6

Planet She-Hulk #6 cover

Release Date: April 29, 2026

This month in “boooo!” Marvel has canceled the excellent Planet She-Hulk with this issue. Stephanie Phillips and Aaron Kuder have been crafting a great return to Sakaar, and here’s hoping they had time to wrap it all up.
