DC Comics Dominates February 2026 Graphic Novel Sales:

Last week we brought you the news that DC was continuing to crush it in single issue sales in February, 2026. Well, guess what? They’re also dominating the February graphic novel sales chart.

Per ICv2, DC took a bonkers 17 of the Top 20 spots on the charts, with the second and first volumes of Absolute Batman at number one and two, in that order. Those are the softcovers, by the way… The hardcover versions of AbsBat also charted, at number four and number nine.

Other than beefy Batman, there were seven more Absolute volumes on the chart, including the second — softcover — volume of Absolute Wonder Woman at number three. Six affordably priced Compact Comics also charted, with Batman: White Knight in the number five slot, and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow in the number six slot.

That, as may have surmised, only left three spots open. Something is Killing the Children Vol. 9 from BOOM! ranked highest at number eight, Marvel’s One World Under Doom was the publisher’s one entry at number 12, and the first collection of Image’s Assorted Crisis Events hit at number 16.

Marvel’s Next MCU Tie-In Is For Shalla-Bal:

Marvel has promised four MCU tie-ins this year for the “in-universe” Fantastic Four: First Foes series. The first of those focuses on The Mad Thinker. The second? Shalla-Bal, played on screen by Julia Garner, and on the page written by Charles Soule and drawn by Mark Buckingham.

In the one-shot, you’ll discover the origin of Shalla-Bal — seen briefly in the film — including her time in the Ozarks. Just kidding, that’s a Julia Garner joke! You’ll actually fine out how an astronomer became the Herald of Galactus, and what she needed to give up to become the Silver Surfer.

Fantastic Four: First Foes – Shalla-Bal #1 hits stores on June 10, 2026.

Tegan Quin Makes Marvel Debut:

Everything is, indeed, awesome, as Tegan Quin of Tegan and Sara will make her Marvel Comics debut with the publisher’s annual Pride special, Wiccan & Hulking: Raid of Ultron #1. And just how she is a twin, she’ll write a story about twins: Wiccan and Speed.

Said Quin via press release, “I see so much of Sara and me in Wiccan and Speed, especially in how their lives are starting to diverge… Still, no matter how different our paths become, the genetic bond—the experience of being identical twins—can’t be replicated or replaced. It’s something singular that binds us, and I thought about that constantly while writing this story. Half of Sara and my career success probably comes down to our banter—people love watching us tease, fight, and resolve conflict—so I definitely leaned into that dynamic on the page hoping people might enjoy that with Wiccan and Speed!”

Wiccan & Hulking: Raid of Ultron #1 hits stores on May 27, 2026.

For Comic Book Club News, I’m Alex Zalben. And I probably should have gone for a Weapons ref for the Julia Garner joke. My bad.
