This is Comic Book Club News for March 9, 2026.

Bishop Gets Solo Series From Marvel:

Bishop has always been a man with a purpose, but that purpose changes over time. And now, in a new five-issue limited series from Marvel, the X-Man will once again fight the future from writer Saladin Ahmed and artist Mario Santoro.

In the new series, Bishop is up against the Final Brotherhood, a group of villains from the future. To stop them, Bishop teams up with his sister, Shard… And Ahmed promises we’ll see some “INSANE” designs for the Final Brotherhood, who he describes as “hybrid” mutant villains.

Bishop #1 hits stores on June 10, 2026.

Mace Windu Gets Graphic Novel:

The party isn’t over until he says it’s over, as Samuel L. Jackson’s Mace Windu is getting his own graphic novel from Dark Horse. Titled Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories—Mace, the book is written by Justina Ireland with art by Georges Duarte.

Set before the events of The Phantom Menace, the book features new Jedi Knight Mace Windu as he embarks on a diplomatic mission. Is it to Alderaan? Maybe! Here’s the official synopsis for the book:

“After bungling a sensitive assignment, a young Mace Windu is sent to protect an alien king. This punishment becomes a daring rescue after the monarch is abducted, and the Jedi Knight is forced into the center of a conspiracy surrounding scheming politicians and ruthless revolutionaries. With danger and betrayal lurking around every corner, Windu must unravel the conspiracy before the planet is engulfed in a civil war. Who knew diplomacy could be so thrilling?”

Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories—Mace hits stores on August 11, 2026.

Hickman And Kubert Tackle Spider-Man:

Hey, is there a movie coming starring Spider-Man, The Hulk, and Punisher? Because guess what: there’s also a Marvel comic coming out starring the trio! What a weird coincidence. Titled Spider-Man: Long Way Home, the even more surprising part is the creative team… It’s written by Jonathan Hickman and Adam Kubert, with art by Kubert.

To be clear, this is not an adaptation or tie-in to Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it just features three characters that will be in the movie. Here’s the synopsis, per Marvel:

“It’s a world before the Punisher. A world where the existence of the Hulk is but a whisper of a rumor. A world where A.I.M. has just developed a Cosmic Cube in the jungles of South America. Frank Castle, Bruce Banner and Peter Parker are all on a mission to keep the Cube out of the wrong hands – including each other’s. In this three-way free-for-all for the power of the cosmos, who will come out on top?”

Spider-Man: Long Way Home #1 hits stores on June 17, 2026.
