DC Comics may be first out of the gate this time with Superman/Spider-Man, but Marvel isn’t letting that gate… Close? I don’t know, bad lede everyone. Anyway, coming hot on the heels of DC’s crossover issue is Marvel’s Spider-Man/Superman #1. And we’ve got more new covers, as well as a first look at interiors from Brad Meltzer’s and Pepe Larraz’s lead story.
Here’s a list of the new variants, per PR from Marvel:
- An homage cover by Giuseppe Camuncoli inspired by Civil War #1
- An homage cover by David Marquez inspired by Power Man and Iron Fist #50
- An homage cover by Sanford Greene inspired by Infinity Gauntlet #1
- A cover by Adam Hughes depicting Black Cat busted by Power Girl
- A cover by Ivan Talavera spotlighting Silk and Supergirl
As for the main story? Meltzer is seemingly riffing on the classic “Spidey trapped under a pile of rubble” thing, and subsequently, maybe, reading between the lines here… Switching Peter and Clark’s brains? You can check out the pages and speculate for yourself.
