Jim Lee Is Back On X-Men (Sort Of) In ‘DC / Marvel: Superman / Spider-Man’

Here’s a wild surprise for your Friday: Jim Lee is back on X-Men. Or at least, he’s drawing Gambit in his story in DC/Marvel: Superman/Spider-Man #1, which finds Mary Jane Watson meeting Lois Lane.

In the interior page shared by DC Comics to retailers (and press), the ragin’ Cajun is perched on a car, while the main duo look on disapprovingly. Will Lee draw more X-Men in the one-shot? Maybe! The story is written by Tom King, the page is inked by Scott Williams, and you can check out the non-cropped version below.

In addition, DC shared another interior page from Jorge Jiménez and Tomeu Morey which is a little more straight-forward, as it focuses on — get this — Superman and Spider-Man:

…and last but not least, there are new variant covers by Olivier Coipel and Josh Middleton, which will hit on the March 25, 2026 issue. Check those out, and speculate wildly if Lee is just warming up for The Uncanny X-Men and New Teen Titans 2.
