This is Comic Book Club News for February 20, 2026.

Ghost Machine Launches Crossover Event:

Back when Ghost Machine launched, it was with four universes… And one of those, previously known a Family Odysseys, is getting a rebrand: The Unbelievables, which will launch this May with the first Ghost Machine crossover event from Image Comics.

Titles in the new lineup include The Rocketfellers by Peter J. Tomasi and Francis Manapul and Hornsby & Halo by Tomasi and Peter Snejbjerg, along with The Trillion Dollar Kid by Geoff Johns, Tomasi, and Stefano Simeone.

First up? The Rocketfellers and Hornsby & Halo will launch zero issues in May designed as standalone entry points for new readers. Then in June, the four-part crossover, “Who Are The Unbelievables?,” all linked around the introduction of the Trillion Dollar Kid, a super-rich kid who has discovered there are plenty of weird characters in the world.

The crossover will also introduce additional new characters, including a rock band of misfit monsters called The Deadtones, The Curious Creatures of Dr. Moreau, and a genie named Jean Genie who has been given her freedom.

DC Teases Absolute Robin:

We know that all the Robins — except Damian Wayne — are coming to Absolute Batman. And now we might know when at least one of them will arrive, thanks to Nick Dragotta’s redacted cover for Absolute Batman #20.

While the cover for the DC Comics issue is, indeed, redacted, that redaction takes the form of a big “R” which doesn’t seem particularly subtle. Also, side-note: that’s the new MO for Absolute Batman covers, DC is releasing redacted versions to hide spoilers, then revealing the unredacted version after the publication of the previous issue; in this case, Absolute Batman #19 in April.

So, which Robin will it be — if it is Robin? The likeliest suspect is Dick Grayson, who has regularly been appearing the title and really doesn’t like Batman. It also could be Tim Drake, of course, or Jason Todd — though the latter has had his Red Hood moniker stolen by Harley Quinn. Perhaps there’s a swerve and it’s Stephanie Brown. Or maybe even Barbara Gordon, who we’ve been told is a key part of the upcoming storyline.

We’ll know more when Absolute Batman #20 hits on May 13.

Oni Press Reveals First Lineup Of Archie Comics Collections:

Oni Press isn’t playing around. The publisher has revealed their first slate of classic Archie Comics collections, and the lineup is a doozy.

While Oni will kick off original Archie ongoing monthly series this summer, they’re also collecting some classic Archie tales in new editions, including affordable, pocket-sized Compact Editions.

Those Compact Editions will cost $9.99 and collect the New Riverdale runs including the Mark Waid/Fiona Staples run on Archie in September, Kelly Thompson and the Fishes on Sabrina in October, and Chip Zdarsky and Erica Henderson’s Jughead, also in October.

In addition, Oni will release Deluxe Editions of Archie: The Decision by Tom King and Dan Parent, Afterlife with Archie, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and an omnibus of the first volume of Archie: The Married Life. Those will hit in September, October, November, and December, respectively.

Oni also promises more to come on the classic front, as this new age of Archie Comics continues.
