In a true shocker in advance of Marvel’s presentation today at ComicsPRO in Glendale, CA, the publisher has revealed somehow, beyond all reason, they’ve secured the participation of the comic book characters Spider-Man and Wolverine in their upcoming Armageddon event.
We’ll give you a moment to process that.
In slightly more seriousness, a teaser sent over this morning by Marvel comes with the tagline “Great Responsibility” to pair with the “With Great Power” teaser they sent over yesterday. In that, they showed off a mysterious silhouetted character with a cape and a star on his chest, who may or may not be (my personal guess) the Chip Zdarsky-created Captain America of the 2000s, David Colton, amped up by an Origin Box from the Ultimate Universe.
This time around, they likely are teasing the characters who will go up against whoever Starman is (maybe it’s Jeff Bridges) who are Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Captain Marvel.
So what is Armageddon about? We’ll know in about four and a half or so hours when Marvel hits the stage at ComicsPRO. Here’s the text and full image sent over by Marvel:
GREAT RESPONSIBILITY
With great power, comes great responsibility. ARMAGEDDON ASSEMBLES this June.
Stay tuned later today for the official announcement.
