Dynamite Signs With Lunar Distribution

Dynamite Entertainment is the latest company to ditch the bankrupt Diamond Comics Distributors for Lunar Distribution.

“Lunar has been an incredible partner for publishers and retailers in the comics industry, grown their company over the last 5 years, and we’re proud to add them to our distribution,” said Nick Barrucci, Dynamite founder, CEO, and Publisher, via an email provided to Comic Book Club. “It’s an exciting new chapter for Dynamite.”

It’s been a complicated time for the comic book industry. And Dynamite, of the major publishers, may have been hit harder than most. We recently reported on how Diamond owes Dynamite over $500,000 from the past several months alone. And anyone who has paid attention to release schedules has likely noticed that solicited Dynamite books have been sporadic on the schedule, at best.

Well, good news: Dynamite will join DC Comics, Image Comics, Oni Press and others at Lunar, starting with Final Order Cutoff (FOC) date June 23. The publisher has also resolicited several books for new release dates, starting on July 9 and July 16.

Here’s hoping that it gets Dynamite back on track. Now about that half a million dollars…
