‘Cheetara: Worldbreaker’ Special Sets The Table For A “Massive Story To Come”

Dynamite’s ThunderCats line is expanding once again with a new extra-sized one-shot, Cheetara: Worldbreaker. Written by editor Nate Cosby, with art by David Cousens, the book promises big things for the ‘cats.

“This story takes place in the past, present, and future, introduces new characters, and sets the table for the massive story to come,” said Cosby via press release. “I only script when I feel I have something to say about a character, so Worldbreaker is particularly personal and exciting to me.”

In the one-shot, we’re jumping back in time to the Golden Age of Thundera. And it focuses on Cheetara’s mystical connection to the Sixth Sense, as it “evolves, from a terribly frightening force to harness to beginning to master the mysterious power.” Dynamite also teases that we’ll discover another character who shares the psychic link with her, and it may not be good news.

Thundercats: Worldbreaker will hit stores in September with covers by Declan Shalvey, Lucio Parrillo, Ivan Tao, and Edwin Galmon. There will also be a classic animation cover. You can check them out below, and click for larger versions.
