It’s pretty rare when a Marvel TV show gets a promotional tie-in. Loki had a few, with their “Loki Charms” and a McDonald’s made up to look like the TVA. And now you can mark the upcoming Ironheart as one of the elite, as White Castle has announced a promotion with the Disney+ series that won’t just introduce a new beverage, it will also help benefit Girls Who Code.
“This collaboration with Marvel Television’s ‘Ironheart’ is a perfect match for White Castle,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “Just as Riri Williams follows her Crave while taking on the world as Ironheart, our Cravers are everyday heroes who bring passion and joy to everything they do. We’re excited to offer them a taste of ‘Ironheart’ with the new ‘Mechanized Mix’ and even more reasons to celebrate through Craver Nation Rewards.”
Per the burger purveyor, the connection is Chicago, where Ironheart is based, and where White Castle has been a mainstay since 1930. Oh, and White Castle appears in the series, in footage you can watch below. To honor this bond, for a limited time, you can snag an Ironheart-inspired Fanta called “Mechanized Mix through the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. WC teases that, “The drink features a bold and refreshing blend and is the perfect way to fuel up for a day of heroic endeavors.” What that tastes like is TBD, though I’m guessing probably not a metal suit.
In addition, starting today, Original Sliders will be served in the packaging seen in the series, which premieres June 24, 2025. And if you’re a member of the Craver Nation Rewards program, from June 9 through July 31, if you purchase the Mechanized Mix you’ll get $2 off your next mobile order, as well as a Mechanized Mix badge in the app which you can show off to your friends, or keep your little secret, whatever you want.
But what, you ask, about the whole Girls Who Code thing? While White Castle wasn’t specific about the percentage, a “portion of proceeds” from sales of any Coca-Cola Freestyle drink, including Mechanized Mix, will be donated to Girls Who Code.
