Fantastic Four: First Steps is set in a retro-future vision of the Marvel Universe, so it only makes sense the movie would team up with another retro-future product: Pop-Tarts, which debuted in 1963. And not only will the team-up lead to some savings on movie tickets, the company is also bringing back Froster Blue Raspberry after a six-year hiatus.
“The Pop-Tarts and Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps collaboration is a celebration of our shared 1960s origins,” said Leslie Serro, vice president of marketing for Pop-Tarts via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “There’s no better way to welcome everyone’s favorite, blue-suited Super Hero family to the MCU than with the triumphant return of our own fantastically blue toaster pastry – Pop-Tarts Frosted Blue Raspberry – back on shelves for the first time since 2019, and just in time for this summer’s must-see movie.”
Even better, the Frosted Blue Raspberry and Frosted Raspberry pastries will both sport retro designs honoring Marvel’s First Family, with eight designs printed on the frosting, in specially marked boxes. Speaking of which, while they will only feature the titular team on the box, if you purchase $10 worth of either of the two mentioned, or specially marked Pop-Tarts Frosted S’mores and Pop-Tarts Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon (aka unequivocally the best flavor of Pop-Tarts), you can get $5 Fandango Movie Reward to see First Steps in theaters. Also, you get Pop-Tarts, so it’s a win-win all around.
