You’ve heard of the elf on the shelf, but what about this mysterious, unknown elf in glasses on the packaging for Keebler’s new limited-edition Superman Fudge Stripes? He looks so familiar, but this mild-mannered elf can’t possibly be… Superman, right? Ha ha, no, of course not.
Anyway, whoever he is, the new cookies are here to celebrate the upcoming release of Superman in theaters — and along with the limited-edition snacks, there’s also a chance to win two Fandango admissions to go see Superman in theaters.
“We know our Fudge Stripes cookies help create special moments for families – from after-school snacks to weekend movie nights. That’s why we’re introducing this new summer flavor, giving families and Superman fans of every generation another delicious way to connect and create sweet memories,” said Kim Thomas, Senior Brand Manager, Ferrero Cookies, via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “Our partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery allows us to make movie experiences more meaningful and draw a new generation of fans into the iconic franchises of Keebler and Superman.”
The Strong Berry Fudge Stripes Cookies are “drizzled with stripes of mixed-berry fudge and feature four unique designs that reflect the DC Super Hero, including the Superman S-Shield as depicted in the new film.” And the packaging includes the Superman logo, as well as that elf who is never seen around the Daily Planet offices the same time as Superman.
If you’re curious about how to win tickets, there’s a QR code on the package that will take you to Keebler’s Open for Magic digital content hub where you can play a Superman-inspired game to rescue “cookies in need” starting on June 1. You’ll also be playing for $30 worth of two Fandango admissions, which you can use to see Superman.
The Superman Fudge Stripes are available nationwide with a suggested retail price of $4.80. Superman hits theaters on July 11. And missed opportunity not to name the tree-based secret superhero elf “Bark Kent,” just saying.
