On a special bonus episode of our podcast, we’re looking into the State of X, aka the state of Marvel’s X-Men line. We start off by taking a look back at the Krakoa Era and its legacy, and how it has impacted the “From the Ashes” era. From there, we discuss the current X-Men books, including the flagship X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, and Exceptional X-Men, as well as the spinoffs, solo titles, and events. And going into year two of this new X-Men era, what do we want to see the line become?

I’m have been most excited to listen to this ever since I heard Justin mention it casually in the main show.
I I’m going with “not good”, but I know there’s been more love for these books on the show that I’ve had.
I don’t think things have been good since Hickman left, and Krakoa stuff left me cold. So it’s kind of secretly rooting for things to end, and there was only a smattering of titles from that “era” that I think worked at all.
The Fall of X was oy vey.
I mean, is anyone ever going to read Dead X-Men a second time? What what could possibly be gleaned from the second reading?
The whole ending felt cobbled together. That’s exactly how this new era feels to me. There are moments in certain books, but Phoenix? No.
Mojo? I hate you Brevoort for allowing this.
What the hell is up with that whole Forge book?
Remember when the mutants were supposed to be rulers of the Galaxy and had a new mysterious coinage and ruled Mars and there was Arrako in a million other mutants from another dimension that nobody ever knew about and oh yeah compared to now good times.
Some very curious to hear my comic book “pals” discuss. This is a club, right?
Jesus, last time I don’t proofread after using speach to text to write a post on my phone.
Under water, apparently, based on the word salad.
