Want to put on the dog at the world premiere of James Gunn’s upcoming blockbuster Superman? Two lucky DC Comics fans will have the chance, thanks to the Krypto’s Golden Biscuit sweepstakes.
Starting on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, DC Comics will release a polybagged facsimile edition of Adventure Comics #210, aka the first appearance of Krypto the Superdog. And inside two of those copies will be a “biscuit” letting you know that you’ve won a chance to attend the world premiere of Superman in Los Angeles before it opens in theaters. Heck, you might even get to meet Krypto himself*!
(*You won’t though, Krypto is a CGI dog modeled on James Gunn’s dog, Ozu. So maybe you’ll get to meet Ozu, but no promises.)
Want in on the action? First thing you can do is tell your local comic shop to pre-order you a copy of the comic in the polybag. Or you could go full-on Willy Wonka and order crates of the book, and have your minions open them up for you. Also important to know that you have a small window of entry: the book hits on June 18, and you’ll have to enter by June 25, 2025 at 12pm ET. You also need to be a US resident, and 18 years old or older. The prize also does not include travel or lodging, so you’ll have to be able to make it to Los Angeles for the premiere.
Oh, and if you don’t want to purchase a polybagged comic, you can also enter without a purchase at www.KryptoGoldenBiscuit.com. You won’t get a comic by Otto Binder and Curt Sawn, as well as art by Ramona Fradon and George Papp if you do that, though.
Superman opens in the US on July 11, and worldwide on July 9. Check out the facsimile cover, below:
