‘Fence’ Returns With ‘Game Changer’ From BOOM!

Time to break out your swords once again: Fence is back at BOOM! Box with Fence Breakthrough: Game Changer, a new series in the hit fencing saga.

“Rivalries and romances intensify, and Nicholas has his first real face off with his family,” said series creator C.S. Pacat via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “I’m so excited for you all to read this one–get ready for the whole game to change!”

Written by Pacat with art by Johanna the Mad, in the new series, per PR, “Kings Row have made it to the final sixteen in the fencing championships, but they have a long way to go before they reach the finals—and Exton, where Nicholas and Seiji both have scores to settle.”

But before all that, Nicholas has to face off against Kyle, who both have some secrets the other doesn’t know. Will this be it for Kings Row? Is Fence over after this? Will they have to sell Fence on the black market? Fence Fence? What am I even saying anymore?

Fence Breakthrough: Game Changer #1 features covers by Johanna the Max and DJ Kirkland, and hits stores on July 30, 2025.
