The Daredevil: Born Again season finale is in the books! And given that wild cliffhanger ending you’re probably dying to know whether there will be a Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. The answer, to get it out of the way, is yes! And not only that, it’s coming waaaay sooner than you might expect for a Marvel TV show. Probably.

That’s because as of this writing, no official premiere date has been announced for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Before you click right out of here, though, just know that we’re pretty good on the ol’ Comic Book Club about giving an educated guess on when TV shows and movies may premiere, based on production schedules and other info. So while we can’t say 100% for sure, we can point you in a pretty good direction.

Think of this article as like Daredevil’s (Charlie Cox) powers… We can’t see the exact date for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, but we can echolocate when it might premiere. Read on for that info, and what we know about Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, so far.

Has Daredevil: Born Again Been Renewed For Season 2?

Great question! To get this out of the way, yes indeedy do, Daredevil: Born Again has been renewed for Season 2. Sort of. As you may or may not be aware, Daredevil: Born Again was initially announced back in July of 2022 for an 18-episode season.

Then, a bunch of things happened. The short version is that due to a delay from the SAG-AFTRA/WGA strikes, Marvel took a look at what they had shot of the series so far and decided it wasn’t working. What followed was a creative overhaul including a new showrunner, new directors, and the addition (and subtraction) of certain actors. What you saw in the nine episodes of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 is an amalgamation of the six-ish episodes that were filmed pre-strike, and new episodes and material that were sifted in there to make new arcs, new stories, and overall a (hopefully) better TV show.

The other thing that happened? The show was split into two seasons of TV, starting with these nine episodes and then rolling into Season 2, which will run eight episodes. As you may be able to figure out, this is pretty close to the 18 episodes Marvel originally ordered of the show. So yeah, Daredevil: Born Again has been renewed for Season 2. But also they were gonna make these episodes anyone as part of one big season. So, less of a sign of confidence than Season 1 is half of a season, and Season 2 the other half.

When Will Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Premiere On Disney+?

As noted above, no specific premiere date has been announced for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. However, based on the production schedule, we can make a pretty fairly educated guess. Specifically, Season 2 began production on February 28, 2025, and will run through July.

Four and a half to five months is fairly typical for a season of live-action TV like this, particularly with an eight-episode count. The question is about post-production. And while there’s plenty of editing, potential reshoots, and digital effects that need to be worked on, unless Daredevil starts flying around town and shooting eye beams or something, Born Again is not as effects-heavy as, say, a Loki or WandaVision.

This is all to say that we can expect a fairly typical post-production for Season 2… Assuming the production goes smoother than Season 1. In that, you can expect around five to six months of post-production if they want it all to be finished before release (which they likely do). That would place the potential premiere date as early as November of 2025, though more likely the episodes will be done by February of 2026.

That lines up with what Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel TV, said in an interview pre-season, that, “We start shooting season two next week. That’ll come out about a year from now. So hopefully we’ll be able to expect a new Daredevil season annually.”

Given that quote, and what we outlined above, there’s a pretty good chance that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will premiere in March of 2026, the same month as Season 1. The little asterisk there is what else Disney+ has planned for streaming in 2026, and what Marvel Studios’s TV schedule is, both of which are TBA. But March 2026 seems like a safe bet.

What Do We Know About Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 So Far?

Other than it being eight episodes long, we know that Dario Scardapane will return as showrunner, and Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead will return as lead directors. They’ll also be directing at least the first two episodes of Season 2.

As for the cast, Charlie Cox will of course be back as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil. Vincent D’Onofrio also returns as Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin. Also returning are Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne, aka The Swordsman, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, aka Bullseye, Genneya Walton as BB Urich, Clark Johnson as Cherry, Michael Gandolfini as Daniel Blake, Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Nikki M. James as Kirsten McDuffie, Arty Froushan as Buck Cashman, and Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk. Curiously, Elden Henson, who plays Foggy Nelson, will also be back despite dying in the first 10 minutes of the Born Again series premiere.

In addition, Susan Varon will return as Josie. Lili Taylor will join the cast in a role rumored to be a political opponent of Fisk’s, while Matthew Lillard has been cast in a mystery role.

As for what else will happen in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, some spoilers past here but based on set photos we know that Daredevil will be getting a black suit with a “DD” emblem on it, a la the black suit he’s worn in the past in the comics. We also know that there will be a significant resistance to Kingpin’s takeover of New York, per murals put up around the production area. And last but not least, it sure looks like Daredevil and Bullseye will be teaming up at some point.

Actual last but not least, we also know that The Punisher will be getting his own one-shot spin-off special, co-written by Bernthal. Whether that will tie into Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 or be its own thing is TBA.

Any other details? We’ll just have to wait until 2026 to find out.
