Before it hits theaters this weekend in front of A Minecraft Movie, a sneak peek of the new Superman has hit online. And it is nearly five minutes of pure, superhero bliss.
Also shown off during Warner Bros. Discovery’s presentation at CinemaCon, the footage begins with an extended version of the scene of Krypto the Superdog coming to save Superman (David Corenswet) after he’s crashed, bloody into the snow. Only thing? Krypto wants to play first, something the bruised and broken Man of Steel can barely do.
When Krypto does finally bring Superman “home” like in the initial teaser trailer, it turns out he doesn’t mean Smallville or Metropolis… He means the Fortress of Solitude, a crystalline structure that grows out of the snowy wasteland. And in the Fortress, ready to help are a bunch of Superman robots, including one revealing that Alan Tudyk’s secret role in the movie is none other than the voice of 4, one of those bots. There’s also a woman voicing 12, though I can’t identify by voice who that is.
The robots blast Superman with yellow sunlight amplified by the Fortress to heal him, and then we’re right into a montage from the initial teaser trailer. Though, there are some differences. The shot of Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) turning away from a window includes the line “he’s back,” presumably in reference to Superman. And another shot of Lex bloody and bruised.
Superman hits theaters on July 11, 2025. You can watch the sneak peek, below.
