April showers bring Marvel Comics, I always say! And that’s why we’re counting down some of the biggest “must buy” Marvel Comics for April, 2025.
Those include titles from the Ultimate Universe, the reveal of the new Venom, a brand-new Amazing Spider-Man, and much, much more. Looking for what to add to your pull list from the House of Ideas this month? Then read on for the full list, presented in chronological release order.
1. Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur 10th Anniversary Special #1
Release Date: April 2, 2025
Part of the original team who created Moon Girl return for a packed 10th anniversary special that looks like an absolute delight.
2. Ironheart: Bad Chemistry #1
Release Date: April 2, 2025
It’s been a while since we had an Ironheart series, and thankfully this one is timed to be hitting stands right on time for the new Disney+ series coming in June.
3. Daredevil: Cold Day In Hell #1
Release Date: April 2, 2025
Charles Soule and Steve McNiven have been working on this Old Man Matt Murdock tale for a loooong time. Now, it’s finally hitting stands in a three-issue prestige format.
4. All-New Venom #5
Release Date: April 2, 2025
The wait is over! As of this issue, we’ll finally find out who is in the new Venom costume, and what that means for the series going forward. It’s Paul, right?
5. Ultimates #11
Release Date: April 9, 2025
The Ultimates try to retake Asgard from Loki in this issue. Every ish for this has been a banger, and this will likely be no different.
6. The Amazing Spider-Man #1
Release Date: April 9, 2025
Who is this “spiderman”? We’ll find out about the character find of the century in this brand-new title from Joe Kelly, Pepe Larraz, and John Romita Jr.
7. Wolverine #8
Release Date: April 16, 2025
Marvel is hyping up this issue, which is legacy numbered at #400, as featuring the biggest, most shocking twist in Wolverine’s history. What is that twist??? Well, you’ll have to wait until mid-April to find out.
8. Superior Avengers #1
Release Date: April 16, 2025
Speaking of twists, this book, which finds villains teaming up to work for Doctor Doom, as some of the ‘ol Thunderbolts vibes around it with a secret about their real identities.
9. Godzilla vs. Hulk #1
Release Date: April 16, 2025
Marvel’s Godzilla vs. series of one-shots continues with the Hulk, from Gerry Duggan and Giuseppe Camuncoli. Later in the month, this new “Spider-Man” guy takes on the King of the Monsters, from Joe Kelly and Nick Bradshaw.
10. Predator Vs. Spider-Man #1
Release Date: April 23, 2025
Wow, Marvel is really all-in on this… Okay fine, I can’t maintain the bit. Anyway, Benjamin Percy and Marcelo Ferreira bring a rogue Predator to NYC in the latest iteration of this series. My money is on the Predator.
11. One World Under Doom #3
Release Date: April 23, 2025
Marvel’s big event continues as the Avengers take on Doom. Spoilers from the solicits for the next issue: they lose.
12. Wolverine And Kitty Pryde #1
Release Date: April 30, 2025
Chris Claremont returns to the timeline of one of the best miniseries of all time with this latest throwback book.
13. Ultimate Spider-Man #16
Release Date: April 30, 2025
Spider-Man is back in NYC and under attack by Mysterio in the latest issue of the blockbuster series.
