DC Comics continues to go hard in April, with the Absolute Universe line now double the size it was previously, and the kick-off of the first DC All In crossover, “We Are Yesterday.”
But that’s far from the biggest event of the month: it’s the Summer of Superman, baby! Cool breezes, sweet waves, and nothing but Mans of Steel, all month long.

1. Absolute Green Lantern #1
Release Date: April 2, 2025
The sixth title in the Absolute Universe line comes from Al Ewing and Jahnoy Lindsay, featuring a cast that includes very different takes on Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and Jo Mullein.
2. Resurrection Man: Quantum Karma #1
Release Date: April 2, 2025
Ram V and Ananda RK reteam for a revamp of this cult classic character who gets a new power every time he dies.
3. Absolute Superman #6
Release Date: April 2, 2025
Carmine di Giandomenico joins the art team for this issue which shows Absolute Kal-El’s very different origin in Smallville.
4. Absolute Batman #7
Release Date: April 9, 2025
Marcos Martín takes over art duties for a two-part arc revealing Absolute Mr. Freeze. Will it be ice to meet him? I guess we’ll see.
5. Fire & Ice: When Hell Freezes Over #1
Release Date: April 9, 2025
Joanne Starer and Stephen Byrne return to the JLI duo for another miniseries, this time a body-switching comedy.
6. Batman / Superman: World’s Finest #38
Release Date: April 16, 2025
The “We Are Yesterday” crossover by writer Mark Waid kicks off here, and runs six issues through various titles until June.
7. Summer of Superman Special #1
Release Date: April 16, 2025
This mega-sized special features looks ahead at stories from Mark Waid, Dan Slott, and Joshua Williamson, laying in seeds for the future of the Superman family of books.
8. Batman #159
Release Date: April 23, 2025
H2SH continues from Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb. Fun fact, just as I wrote “H2SH” in this article someone else in the room sneezed and I said “bless you.”
9. Absolute Wonder Woman #7
Release Date: April 23, 2025
Mattia De Iulis continues on art in this issue for an arc where Diana is trapped in the underworld.
10. Superman #25
Release Date: April 23, 2025
The “real” Lex Luthor returns in this landmark issue, as the Summer of Superman continues! It’s still April though, that’s barely summer!
11. Absolute Martian Manhunter #2
Release Date: April 23, 2025
The wild and stunning-looking series continues from Deniz Camp and Javier Rodríguez
12. Harley Quinn #50
Release Date: April 23, 2025
Elliott Kalan and Mirka Andolfo welcome the clown princess of crime to 50 issues, and introduce new icons the Gunbuddies.
13. Superman: The Last Days Of Lex Luthor #3
Release Date: April 23, 2025
The long-delayed series from Mark Waid and Bryan Hitch ends with, maybe, the death of Lex Luthor.
14. Black Canary: The Best Of The Best #6
Release Date: April 30, 2025
The fight of the century ends as Lady Shiva and Black Canary battle to a standstill. Oh my and apple pie!
15. The Power Company Recharged #1
Release Date: April 30, 2025
Like the title says! The Power Company is back with a brand-new lineup from Bryan Hill, Khary Randolph, and Alitha Martinez.
