WonderCon is coming at you hot this weekend in Anaheim, California. And also coming in hot? The Superfan Podcast, which will make its official debut with a panel on Sunday, March 30. And to celebrate the occasion, the podcast is bringing along some special guests.
Hosted by artist Christian Gossett, editor Kristen Simon, and publicist David Hyde, the Superfan Podcast will launch later this year, interviewing guests like Rodney Barnes, Kelly Sue DeConnick, Marc Guggenheim, Matt Kindt, Marjorie Liu, and Patrick McDonnell… But not about comics. Rather, the podcast will delve into the things that that make them superfans.
And to start off, all three hosts will be live at the panel at WonderCon on March 30 from 1pm-2pm in Room 207, alongside guests Pornsak Pichetshote and Marco Finnegan.
“Now more than ever, it’s important to have conversations about the things that bring us joy,” said Gossett via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “Every decision we are making with the Superfan Podcast is about creating a vibe of positivity and creativity. From the logo design, to the guest bookings, to the art we’ll use to promote the podcast and live events, everything is meant to convey an underlying enthusiasm. We want to invite everyone to a big party, one where writers and artists can speak at length, with verve and style, about the things that inspire them.”
The podcast will be edited by Bryant Dillon, with production help by Fanbase Press. And it’ll spot a logo by Criswell Lappin — alongside three adorable portraits of the hosts, which we’re happy to debut right here in advance of the panel. The Superfan Podcast will premiere later on in 2025.
