Marvel June 2025 Solicit Highlights:

Marvel’s got a big June, so let’s get into some highlights from their solicits, text, and covers sent to press and comic book stores to hype their upcoming releases.

Imperial #1 from Jonathan Hickman is the kick-off of a four-issue series that hopes to do for Marvel’s cosmic books what Hickman did for the Ultimate Universe line. From new beginnings to the end, Marvel Knights: The World To Come by Christopher Priest and Joe Quesada kills off Black Panther and starts a battle for his crown. And Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion begins a five-issue series that brings Miles Morales over to the new Ultimate Universe.

Death of the Silver Surfer kills off the Silver Surfer, just in time for Fantastic Four: First Steps. Speaking of Fantastic Four, the One World Under Doom event continues with a slew of titles, but the most exciting is a new Runaways #1 from Rainbow Rowell and Elena Casagrande, which finds Doom tracking down the team’s newest member, Doombot. And Fantastic Four #33 ends this volume of the series, with a new #1 in the offing starting in July.

On the X-Men front, Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing’s Giant-Size adventure for Ms. Marvel continues through the Phoenix Saga and Age of Apocalypse. Emma Frost: The White Queen is another throwback miniseries, this time set when the title character was a baddie. And in Phoenix #12, Jean Grey’s sister returns to life after decades.

The X-Men aren’t the only ones getting Giant-Size, as Giant-Size Amazing Spider-Man returns Kevin Smith to Marvel for a throwback story, while Chip Zdarsky introduces a brand-new character in a back-up story.

Spider-Girl spins out — pun very much intended — from Spider-Boy with a brand-new hero in the mask. New Thunderbolts* brings together a bizarre team including Carnage, The Hulk, Namor, and more — and most importantly, includes the asterisk from the end of the name, as seen on the big screen in Thunderbolts*. Marvel United: A Pride Special is the publisher’s annual Pride anthology. Doctor Aphra returns in a new ongoing Star Wars series, Chaos Agent. And the biggest issue of the month? Jeff the Land-Shark gets his own five-issue miniseries.
