Back in 2022, Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen joined forces (again) for Robin & Batman, a story of a young Dick Grayson. And now, they’re back at DC Comics for Robin & Batman: Jason Todd, a three-issue limited series all about Tim Drake. Just kidding.
In fact, the critically-acclaimed team behind Descender and Ascender will focus on the early days of Jason Todd as Robin, a, per PR from the publisher, “rash, impulsive and reckless kid with a troubled past, who Batman was certain could be molded into Gotham’s next protector. But can the Dark Knight save Jason Todd from the darkness within himself? And when a mysterious new villain, shrouded in white cloth and mystery, sets his sights on Jason, Batman realizes that even he has what it takes to train the anger and torment out of his new young ward.”
Robin & Batman: Jason Todd #1 will hit stores on June 11, with a main cover by Dustin Nguyen, and variants by Nguyen, Lemire, Rafael Albuquerque and John McCrea. You can check out the covers below, and click for larger versions.
