One of the biggest mysteries running in Daredevil: Born Again is, what is the deal with Adam (Lou Taylor Pucci)? We first heard his name in the premiere episode of the series, but it wasn’t until the end of this week’s fourth episode that we found out the horrifying truth of what’s happened to Adam… And it’s likely so much more disturbing than you could have imagined.
Spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again past this point. By the point we’ve reached this week’s episode, we already know that while Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) was out of town, Vanessa Fisk (Ayelet Zurer) had an affair with Adam. He was one of her underlings while she ran the Fisk criminal empire, and since then has disappeared. Wilson knows about Adam, and at least in the premiere doesn’t want to talk about him — he just wants to move on.
However, the affair clearly caused some big cracks in the marriage, and they end up going to couples therapy with Heather Glenn (Margarita Levieva). This week we find out how Vanessa and Adam struck up a relationship: he was an artist, and despite her now running a criminal empire, fans of Daredevil likely remember that Vanessa curated and collected art. We also find out that Wilson confronted Adam at one point, but swears he doesn’t know what happened to him after that. And that’s where things get left until the closing moments of the episode.
It turns out that Wilson has some sort of underground lair in Red Hook, where he’s holding a number of relics — including the Rabbit in a Snowstorm painting he was obsessed with in the earlier Daredevil series. As Fisk sits down to a dinner in the basement, it turns out this isn’t just a warehouse… It’s a dungeon. And next to the table where the Kingpin is eating is a cage holding Adam. He’s decrepit, dirty, and has a long beard indicating he’s been held in there for a very long time. “Please, please let me out,” begs Adam, but Wilson sits and enjoys his meal while the former artist sobs and screams.
So, yeah. Not only does Wilson know where Adam is, but the Mayor of New York City is lying about putting criminal pursuits aside for the good of the people. He’s been holding a man hostage for years… So what else is he doing that we don’t know about yet?
Who Is Lou Taylor Pucci, The Actor Who Plays Adam On Daredevil: Born Again?

Lou Taylor Pucci, who plays Adam on Daredevil: Born Again, is a 39-year-old actor from New Jersey. He’s probably best known for his lead role in 2005’s Thumbsucker as Justin Cobb, though you may also know him as Eric from the 2013 Evil Dead remake, or Tyler from Apple TV+’s Physical.
Pucci also appeared as Jonas Shevoore on American Horror Story: 1984, Benji Ashby as YOU, and Nock Nock on You’re The Worst. Coming up he’s co-starring in horror/romance The Avalanche opposite Alexandra Essoe, and an as-yet-untitled drama also starring Olivia Thirlby and Steven Weber.
He currently has 11.3k followers on Instagram, presumably including Wilson Fisk.
