It’s time for the penultimate episode of Harley Quinn Season 5, and Lex Luthor has finally arrived in all his bald glory. So who plays Lex Luthor this season? And what about the rest of the cast? For the complete Harley Quinn Season 5, Episode 9 voice cast, read on.
But first, a recap of events this week for context, and spoilers past this point. Picking up just before where things left off last episode, Metropolis gets bottled by Lena Luthor, just as Lois Lane is chowing down on some soup in her car. And we even get a flashback to Child Lena and Child Lex, as the latter won’t let her play with his Metropolis train model.
Meanwhile, in the present, Harley and Ivy are looking at the hole where Metropolis once was, and recommitting to their relationship. “Nothing can break us up, hon,” Ivy says. “I mean could you imagine the meltdown on the internet if we did?” Damn straight. Well, not straight. You know what I mean.
Anyway, along with Harley’s mom Sharon they take the unconscious Lex to the Batcave, where Bruce’s password is, in a fun reference to The Batman, “El Rata Alada.” Harley calls Bruce with a plan. Her plan? For Lex to have a plan. Instead, they all come up with a real plan, to disable the cloaking device on Brainiac’s ship, drag it down in the atmosphere, get on the ship in the Batplane, and stop Lena from destroying the city.
In Metropolis, the citizens try to escape, but Lois’s signal watch isn’t working to call Superman, no matter how many times The Joker presses the button. That is until Lois remembers the Morse Code machine she uses for sexting Superman, and sends a message to the stars: “I need you.”
Meanwhile, Lex and Lena hash out their differences when it turns out Lex didn’t share his trains because people liked Lena better. Harley, Ivy, and Sharon all get shrunk down with a despondent Brainiac. And things are looking real bad for our heroes. Good thing there’s one more episode next week!

Harley Quinn Season 5, Episode 9 “Bottle Episode (But Not A ‘Bottle Episode’)” Cast: Who’s Who In The Voice Cast?
As usual we won’t break down the main cast list, as we’ve already covered them in other articles (linked above). The big newbie this episode, though, is the voice of Lex Luthor. That would be Wendell Pierce, who you might know better as Detective Bunk Moreland from The Wire. He’ll also play Perry White in the upcoming movie Superman, and has an undisclosed role in Thunderbolts*. Busy guy!
Pierce is actually the fourth actor to voice Lex Luthor in the Harley-verse. Giancarlo Esposito voiced the role for the first four seasons. Lance Reddick took over for the first eight episodes of Kite Man: Hell Yeah! before he unfortunately passed away, and was replaced by Amuche Chukudebulu for Episodes 9 and 10.
But yeah, that’s pretty much it in terms of new voice cast this week… Pierce and Aisha Tyler (who voices Lena Luthor) even voice the young version of their characters.
