Hope you’re ready for some carbs because this week’s Harley Quinn is all about a “Big Pasta Dinner” at Bruce Wayne’s place. And you know Alfred brought the Macaroni. So who’s who in the voice cast? Let’s discuss.
But first, a quick bit recap for the episode to provide context. And spoilers past this point. While Ivy is busy trimming Frank and Harley is still having nightmares about a weird skull thanks to Brainiac’s mind-wipe, Shaun, King Shark’s son, has run away to live with his cool queer aunts — and immediately floods the apartment by eating the shower heads.
Luckily, they get invited to a pasta dinner at Bruce’s place, and Alfred is the building manager — he’s out of prison to help with the pasta — so they head on up to chow on down. The intimate gathering also includes Joker and his daughter Sophia, Lois Lane, Frank the Plant, and Damian Wayne. So, awkward and weird!
Things go from awkward to deadly when Alfred is killed when the lights get turned out, and also we discover Bruce doesn’t know his last name (“You killed Alfred Butler!”)… But in fact, Alfred is alive, he just likes to do this sometimes to make Bruce feel bad. While Harley tries to clear her name of Alfred’s murder, Joker and Bruce have a nice shpritz in the sauna, and Joker gives his one-time enemy some great advice about opening up to the idea of living, instead of constantly worrying about dying.
Harley figures out the murder — which she doesn’t, because she accuses Damian (and also Alfred isn’t dead), which is when Red X shows up. Who is Red X? Nightwing, who is also not dead after last season. He was brought back via Lazarus Pit, and when Bruce says she’s sorry and I love you to Dick, he immediately stops attacking everyone.
Oh, and then Alfred reveals he’s alive, he brought back Dick to kill Joker, Harley and Ivy, and also he’s dressed as his vigilante alter-ego, The Macaroni. Bruce tries the whole saying I’m sorry thing but it’s less effective the second time, so instead Alfred takes Venom and turns into a Bane’d out Macaroni.
While Lois evacuates the kids (and Frank the Plant leaves, too), Harley, Dick and Ivy battle Banearoni until they realize they can get Shaun to eat the shower heads, which gets Alfred wet and short circuits his ankle monitor (he’s still under house arrest).
By episode’s end, Sophia is dating Damian, and Lois hires Harley as her assistant — which is when they discover they’re both having skull nightmares. Bum ba BUM.

Harley Quinn Season 5, Episode 5 “Big Pasta Dinner” Cast: Who’s Who In The Voice Cast?
We won’t cover cast that’s appeared previously this season (check out previous breakdowns for that). But there is a fair amount of cast that returns for the first time this episode, so let’s get into it.
First up is What We Do In The Shadows star Harvey Guillén as Red X/Nightwing, the role he played in previous seasons. Tom Hollander also returns as Alfred Pennyworth, aka The Macaroni. Not to be confused with Tom Holland, Hollander might be best known recently for his role on Season 2 of The White Lotus as Tanya’s (Jennifer Coolidge) gay friend.
Jacob Tremblay returns, as well, as Damian Wayne. Previously he starred in Room, as well as Luca and Flounder in the live-action Little Mermaid.
Alan Tudyk has been on the show this season already, but this is our first appearance of his iconic Joker. However, his adopted daughter Sophia was previously voiced by Sammi Corona-Lampa. However, this week the slightly older Sophia is voiced by Lilimar. Also known as Lilimar Hernandez, she previously played Sophie on Bella and the Bulldogs and Sofia on Baymax! She is also the voice of Batwing on the Batwheels TV show.
