The shadowy figure teased in the opening credits makes a big move in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Episode 7. Yep, it’s “Scorpion Rising” and NOTHING WILL EVER BE THE SAME. Including the voice cast, so who’s who?
We’ll get to that in a moment, but first a brief recap of the episode for context. Spoilers past this point. Things start off with Nico Minoru still pissed off at Peter Parker for not telling her that he’s Spider-Man — and for prioritizing Harry Osborn over her. Meanwhile, Pearl Pangan things Lonnie Lincoln is ditching her… That is until Lonnie’s brother Dre texts her to give her the real scoop.
Meanwhile, Peter and Norman Osborn are trying to figure out what Otto Octavius is up to — “I doubt he’s managed to harness the power of the sun,” scoffs Osborn in a reference to Spider-Man 2 — and it turns out Doc Ock is using Gamma radiation.
Also meanwhile, Harry is trying to apologize to Nico, and they end up going for pizza and a driving lesson… As well as a street race against Hot Rod, who drives a hot rod, and does not seem to be the Transformer of the same name but TBD, you never know! They ultimately do settle their beef — and even have a surprising… romantic? … moment.
Back with the main plot, Pearl tracks Lonnie down to the 110th Street Gang’s warehouse, but at just the wrong time: Mac Gargan is suited up as the Scorpion thanks to Otto, and rips the gang to shreds. Spider-Man has also been tracking Mac thanks to his Gamma signature, and fights him in the warehouse. Spidey gets everyone clear, and even seems to beat the Scorpion, with Norman taking out his earpiece while he finishes tracking down Otto. Lots of tracking down going on here!
In any case, the Scorpion is not done, and proceeds to impale Spider-Man and break his mask, going insane as he overclocks his suit. And Peter is only saved by the timely arrival of a very familiar glider sent by Norman. Perhaps Mr. Osborn isn’t so nice after all, and has a little of the ol’ Goblin in him?

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 1, Episode 7 “Scorpion Rising” Cast: Who’s Who In The Voice Cast?
Most of the cast repeats from previous episodes, but we do have a few new folks.
After a cameo in the first, Klev shows up in the animated flesh to preside over the street race. He is voiced by Zach Cherry, who previously played the same character (he’s the guy who tells Spider-Man “do a flip!”) in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. You may also know him as Dylan on Severance.
And Hot Rod (still not the Transformer) is voiced by Zehra Fazal, who also does the voice of Susan O’Hara, Nico’s foster mom. She also voiced Livewire on My Adventures With Superman, and Talia al Ghul in other animated DC projects.
