Alongside Jordie Bellaire and Aditya Bidikar, Tyler Boss has joined the Artists In Residence initiative at Tiny Onion.
“I really believe in what Tiny Onion is creating and building, so to be a part of it in this capacity… I feel great incredulity,” said Boss via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “The support James and Co. are providing to creators is unprecedented.”
The goal of the company’s initiative is to transform the “exclusive” contract by, per PR, “not only providing talent with stability and guaranteed work, but also celebrating them as multi-hyphenate creators in their own right and crucial members of the Tiny Onion ecosystem.”
Added Tiny Onion Director of Editorial Eric Harburn, “From 4 Kids Walk Into A Bank to What’s the Furthest Place From Here? and beyond, Tyler has proven himself to be one of the most exciting artists in comics. But readers owe it to themselves to check out Dead Dog’s Bite, one of the most confident, daring debuts for a writer in the past decade-plus. We are incredibly proud to welcome Tyler to the Artist in Residence initiative, and to work with him as both a writer and an artist on a variety of upcoming projects.”
Along with writer Matthew Rosenberg, the Eisner-nominated Boss is the co-creator of 4 Kids Walk into a Bank, which is currently in production as a feature film. Along with future projects at Tiny Onion, Boss has created the upcoming series You’ll Do Bad Things with artist Adriano Turtulici, which will hit from Image Comics in March.
