The third of three episodes released today, Invincible Season 3, Episode 3 “You Want A Real Costume, Right?” had a bunch of surprises, big fights, shocking returns, and more shocking deaths. So who’s who in the voice cast?
We’ll get to that in a moment (or scroll down for the good stuff), but first a recap of the episode for context. And spoilers past this point. Like last episode’s Cecil flashback montage, this one starts in a unique way with a mostly silent montage showing Tether Tyrant and Magmaniac, a couple who realize that bank robbing isn’t the life for them. They try very hard to give it up, and for a time things work out okay, until they don’t. And it transitions into how they’re background characters in the life of Invincible, who is casually fighting them until Oliver flies in, wanting to help.
Back at the Grayson house, Mark and Oliver have a talk about training him, which leads to Oliver getting a costumed identity… As Kid Omni-Man, which creeps everyone out. And Mark gets a new blue and black costume, which he’s also disturbed by. Meanwhile, Amber, Mark’s ex, bumps into Eve and as it turns out everything is 100% cool with the fact that Amber is now dating Mark. Hooray for friends!
Over with the Guardians of the Globe, they move back into the Teen Team headquarters, and that’s pretty much it for them (at least in terms of important stuff). Meanwhile, Mr. Liu digs into Titan, the crime boss, about freeing Multi-Paul from prison. And Debbie and Paul go on a date, with Debbie ultimately telling Paul the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth — and they make out, just as the kids walk in.
Oh, also there’s a sphere watching them, so hold on to that thought until later.
The main thrust of the action for the rest of the episode is the Mauler Twins breaking into the same nuclear facility the Lizard League attacked last season. The Guardians show up, followed by Invincible and Oliver. While Invincible tries to stop the combo EMP/Nuke they’ve shot off, Oliver kills both of the Mauler Twins… And doesn’t understand what he did wrong.
After several heart to hearts, Mark sees another sphere, grabs it, and it blows up. Who is watching them? Why it’s none other than… Angstrom Levy, who was last left punched to death by Mark. “Such a happy family,” he says.

Invincible Season 3, Episode 3 “You Want A Real Costume, Right?” Cast: Who’s Who In The Voice Cast?
We won’t break down the main and recurring cast, who we’ve already discussed in previous cast breakdowns (see above). But let’s talk who is back this episode, and who is new.
Zazie Beetz returns as Amber, and you may know her from Atlanta, Joker, or as Domino from Deadpool 2. But the bigger surprise is the return of Sterling K. Brown as Angstrom Levy. You know him from This Is Us, and the currently streaming Paradise on Hulu.
Also back this episode? Mark Hamill as Art the tailor, aka The Guyver himself. He was also in a movie series called Star Wars, and played some sort of clown known as The Joker on Batman: The Animated Series and in the Arkham video games. But mostly he’s know for The Guyver.
The Mauler Twins are back, too — and dead — thanks to the voice talents of Kevin Michael Richardson. Richardson also does the voice of Monster Girl on this show, and has previously played Goro in various Mortal Kombat things, and was also the Joker, on the animated series The Batman.
Tzi Ma returns as Mr. Liu, the crime boss with the metal jaw. Tzi Ma was recently in Interior Chinatown, and was previously in the Rush Hour movies, The CW’s Kung Fu reboot, and Mulan.
And Todd Williams also returns as Titan, the crime boss who can make rock form over his skin. He’s been on All Rise, Teen Wolf, and plays a mystery role on the upcoming Marvel Animated series Marvel Zombies.
