Invincible has finally returned for Season 3, and there’s a ton of stuff going on already in the series — and a ton of characters. With that in mind, you might be wondering who’s who in the Invincible Season 3, Episode 1 voice cast?
We’ll get to that in a second (or you can just scroll down I guess), but first a recap of the episode for some context. And spoilers past this point. In the season premiere, Invincible is beating up your friendly neighborhood Giant to test his strength when we catch up with him. And his strength is off the charts. He hangs out under lava, he lifts and iceberg… Basically, Cecil, Donald, and the rest of the GDA (Global Defense Agency) are putting him through his paces to get ready for the Viltrumite invasion.
In the midst of this, two crooks from the future, Dropkick and Fightmaster, show up to do a Nicolas Cage and steal the Declaration of Independence. Rex Splode and Invincible head to stop the time-travelers, and are doing just fine until Dupli-Kate’s brother Multi-Paul shows up, allowing them to escape.
And then Dupli-Kate shows up, revealing she’s alive — and engaged to Immortal. Not only that, Shrinking Rae also returns after nearly getting killed by the Lizard League last season. Hooray! “The family’s back and unbreakable,” they say, not at all jinxing it.
Meanwhile in the Grayson house, Oliver is the size of a young teen, and got his powers already — he wants to train with his big bro. Which is the least of Mark’s complications, and he’s wrestling with the revelation the (bear with me here) alternate universe Eve from the future told Mark last season, that she’s always been in love with him. Mark asks Eve out, but in the middle of this Doc Seismic escapes prison, and having heavily powered up has managed to kidnap every hero in America — except Mark and Eve.
Naturally, they head underground to stop him, but even this dynamic duo isn’t enough to turn the tide of lava men and giant bug monsters. That is until Darkwing 2 (remember him? The Batman-type guy who was murdering criminals in his city?) and the Reanimen (remember them? the cyborgs who were made out of murdered people on a college campus?) show up to save them.
This does help them to beat Doc Seismic and escape, but Mark is livid that Cecil is using a killer and killer cyborgs without his knowledge. They go to Cecil’s White Room, where he’s holding a lot more Reanimen. They surround Invincible, and that’s our cliffhanger!
Except true to form, there’s one more scene: Allen is talking to Nolan using telepathy, and when Allen is potentially almost killed by a big Viltrumite laser (he’s not), it turns out Nolan was worried about him… And for Allen that means there’s a chance they can turn Nolan to the side of good. Progress!

Invincible Season 3, Episode 1 “You’re Not Laughing Now” Cast: Who’s Who In The Voice Cast?

There are a lot of voices who return from previous seasons, so we won’t spend too much time on them. Invincible is Steven Yeun, who you likely know from Walking Dead, Beef, and much more. Debbie Grayson is Sandra Oh from Killing Eve and Grey’s Anatomy. J.K. Simmons, who voices Nolan Grayson aka Omni-Men is best known as the voice of the Yellow M&M, and that’s it. Nothing else. (Note: if you can contradict this statement, then I don’t need to list his other credits, right? Right.)
Darkwing seems to be the [SEO expert voice] big search term as of this writing, and he’s voiced by Cleveland Berto. You might know him as T. Gill from Terminator: Dark Fate, Andre Cooper from Chicago P.D., or as SIS Officer from Bosch: Legacy. He is not the voice of the Yellow M&M.
Oliver is now voiced by Christian Convery, taking over from Lincoln Bodin (who voiced him as a toddler). Convery is likely best known for his role as Gus on Netflix’s Sweet Tooth.
Both Donald and Doc Seismic are voiced by the talented Chris Diamantopoulos, who we’ve covered before here (if you want to read about him more in-depth). Meanwhile, April, Oliver’s home-school teacher, returns this season, voiced by Calista Flockhart from Ally McBeal and Supergirl.
Walton Goggins is also back as the voice of Cecil, and we’ve covered him more in depth as well before, but you likely know him as the purveyor of Walton Goggins Goggle Glasses (this is actually true, look it up). Eve is Gillian Jacobs, aka Britta from Community. And Jason Mantzoukas returns as a kinder, gentler, more aware Rex Splode this season.
Simu Liu joins the cast as Multi-Paul, and you may know him as Shang-Chi from Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Continuing the “hey that’s a superhero already” casting, Xolo Maridueña voices both Dropkick and Fightmaster, and you may know him as either the titular character from Blue Beetle, or Miguel from Cobra Kai.
Also returning? Melise as Dupli-Kate (as well as GDA Agents, Luke McFarlane as Rick, Ross MarquAnd as Immortal, Khary Payton as Black Samson, Jay Pharoah as Bulletproof, Zacahry Quinto as Robot, Andrew Rannells as William, Kevin Michael Richards as Monster, Seth Rogen as Allen, and Fred Tatasciore as The Giant. None of them are known for playing the Yellow M&M.
