Storm is getting a major upgrade in upcoming issues of the title from Murewa Ayodele and Lucas Werneck. And today, Marvel revealed the latest twist on the mutant: her new Vibranium Armor, which will be revealed in Storm #6.
“The inspiration for the Vibranium Armor is mainly Ororo’s time as Queen of Wakanda,” artist Luciano Vecchio explained via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “A Dora Milaje armor base design with a recurrent shape motif of Ororo’s crown as part of the weapon handle and capes. Also a bit of Marvel Rivals vibes, with bulky accents.”

In February’s Storm #5, after, er, dying, she’ll be transformed into the Eternal Storm thanks to Eternity. And then as part of the X-Manhunt crossover, she’ll don the Vibranium Armor by tapping into her new cosmic power, to defend Professor X against the X-Men.
But wait, that’s not all! It’s all leading up to an event called “Thunder War.” As they teased with the first five issues, here’s what’s coming up with the second batch:
Storm #6, March 2025: “Thundercloud”
Storm #7, April 2025: “Serpents, Salamander and Storm Gods”
Storm #8, May 2025: “Sinister Schemes Of The Stars And Stripes I”
Storm #9, June 2025: “Sinister Schemes Of The Stars And Stripes II”
Storm #10, July 2025: “Thunder War Begins”

Storm #6 hits stores on March 5, 2025.
