Looks like Tariq Geiger is about to meet his match. Picking up off the cliffhanger of Geiger #10 from Ghost Machine and Image Comics, the next three issues will formally introduce Ashley “Ash” Arden, aka the Glowing Woman.
“Ashley’s story is just beginning,” said writer Geoff Johns via press release. “Gary [Frank] and I can’t wait to finally show fans who the Glowing Woman is, what drives her as a character, and what her powers, abilities, and mission mean for Tariq.”
In the series, Geiger is looking for a cure for his own radioactive powers, and it’s possible Ashley may have the key. While you’ll have to wait for the upcoming issues to hit to find out more, the two covers are teasing how important she is to the overall story.

Both covers are by series artist Gary Frank and colorist Brad Anderson, with Geiger #11 hitting on February 12, Geiger #12 on March 12, and Geiger #13 on April 9. Added Frank, “These images begin to tease the growing escalation between Geiger and Ash. This is an explosive arc, and it’ll profoundly change Geiger and his relationships with Nate and the world around them.”
The FOC for Geiger #11 is January 20, hence the release of the new covers. And John, it seems is pretty excited about where the series is going.
“Gary and I have found another gear on this book and we’re not going to let up,” continued Johns. “The story from here is only going to get bigger and reveal more of the connection between Geiger, Junkyard Joe, Redcoat, The Northerner, and other new characters within The Unnamed shared universe we’re introducing soon. We can’t wait to show them to you.”
