New Comics This Week: Full Comics List For January 8, 2025

After a weird week on January 1, 2025, we’re back in action with new comics this week for January 8, 2025.

Marvel kicks off a bunch of new number-one issues. That includes Illyana getting her own solo title in Magik #1, a bunch of sidekick variant covers spinning off into their own title in New Champions #1, and Elektra takes on a female Muse in Daredevil: Unleash Hell – Red Band #1.

DC Comics, is all in on writer Jeremy Adams this week with Aquaman #1, which brings back the King of the Seas in his first solo title in years, and Green Lantern: Fractured Spectrum #1, which sets up the new status quo for the GLs. Otherwise, it’s all Batman, all the time, with new issues of Absolute Batman and Batman: Dark Patterns.

BOOM! Studios releases Jim Henson Presents, a collection of stories set in the worlds of Henson. Dynamite launches Zootopia #1, a new ongoing Disney series. And Image has The Lucky Devils #1 from the Eight Billion Genies team of Charles Soule and Ryan Browne.
