That’s another Marvel television series in the books after today’s episode of What If…? The animated series ran 26 episodes over three seasons, but “What If… What If?” isn’t just the series finale of What If…?, it’s also (right under the wire) the last episode of Marvel TV to air in 2024. But don’t worry, there’s plenty more to come from Marvel television in 2025, and beyond.

Marvel Television And Animation In 2025:
You won’t have to wait long for the next Marvel animated TV series… Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man premieres January 29 on Disney+. Taking place in another part of the multiverse, it features a high school aged Peter Parker first getting his powers, mentored by Norman Osborn (Colman Domingo), and mixing it up with heroes like Doctor Strange and Daredevil (voiced by Charlie Cox).
Speaking of ol’ DD, Daredevil: Born Again, a live-action series, premieres on March 4. It’s a continuation of the Netflix series, albeit in the MCU, and stars Cox, as well as Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and Jon Bernthal as The Punisher.
Then on June 24, the live-action, long-on-the-shelf Ironheart hits Disney+, starring Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, and Anthony Ramos as The Hood — not the version seen on What If..? but a small-time crook named Parker Robbins.
Iron Man and His Awesome Friends, an all-ages series in the mode of Spidey and His Amazing Friends, premieres sometime over the Summer. And on August 6, we’re getting four episodes of the animated Eyes of Wakanda, which jumps to different eras in Wakandan history.
In October, we’re getting another four-episode animated series, Marvel Zombies, which spins out of the episode of the same name from What If…? and stars Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel, trying to survive in a world overrun by the undead.
Rounding out the year is the live-action Wonder Man, starring Yahya Abdul-Matten II as the title character, and Ben Kingsley reprising his role as actor extraordinaire Trevor Slattery.
Future Marvel Television And Animation:
Beyond that, there are a number of TBDs on the schedule. We know there will be a second — and third — season of X-Men ’97, though whether that will be hit in 2025, we don’t currently know. There’s also a second season in the works for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, as well, though that would probably not hit until 2026. Spidey and His Amazing Friends has also been renewed for a fourth season and likely will be coming in 2025.
In live-action, there are only two shows we know are in the works for sure. There’s an untitled Vision series that is being showrun by Terry Matalas, and stars Paul Bettany, James Spader, and more. That will not premiere until 2026. A Nova series has been in the works for a while, and Ed Bernero recently took over as showrunner on that, so don’t expect it until 2026, the earliest. There’s also some evidence that Marvel might be working on an Agatha All Along Season 2, though that hasn’t been confirmed.
There’s also Spider-Noir, a live-action series starring Nicolas Cage as the title character. That is, however, part of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, and not the MCU. It’ll premiere on Prime Video, possibly in 2025. And Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur still has half a final season to stream, unless Disney has decided to shelve it entirely.

The first episode of What If…? Season 3 premieres Sunday, December 22 at 3 am ET / Midnight PT on Disney+. One episode a day premieres after that, leading to the series finale on December 29, 2024.
